Welcome to C4VYP. Caring for Very Young People. The Work Well. Live Well Website. For Anyone Caring for our Very Young People. Our VYP’s.
Consulting
There are reasons why a practical solution can often be difficult to find: it’s hard work; and it requires blending knowledge, experience and understanding with an individual child’s requirements.
Consulting – Parents
We all need help at times along the parenting path. And while there are many books and websites which address this vast topic, there are still very few practical answers to the question ‘what can I do?’.
I bring a decade of supporting and helping parents who face similar problems. I recognise that you will need something tailored to your own situation, your own family, your own child and I will work with you to achieve this.
Consulting – Professional Early Years
Many child care centres will find it valuable to have an external resource for their staff to turn to. When caring for Very Young People, all your time is taken up with just that, caring for them. So back at home, or in team meetings, plugging into a practical resource can be just what you need.
Workshop
If your child care setting would like a workshop to address a particular part of your care package, please get in touch directly. If you are unsure which part of your care you need help with, I can work with you to identify which area/s should be addressed.
The specific areas may include but not be restricted to: Responding to Every Day Issues such as Interaction with Other Children and Children’s Behaviour; Toilet Training; How Much Planning Do We Need to Do for this Group of Children? What to do to support children in our setting with traits of neurodiversity.
Speaker
I’m an experienced public speaker and am very happy to address professional bodies, charities, parent groups and other specialist interest communities. Please get in touch with me by clicking on the ‘Enquire Here’ button.
Key areas I have addressed previously include:
- Motivational messages regarding a career in child care
- Key tips for a successful career in child care
- Highlighting the positives from different educational journeys and career changes
- What to think about when starting up your own business
- Motivational messages for other women in business

Professional Carers
These videos deal with life in your setting, your job, with the children you look after.
I have seen that, while there is real and growing awareness of neurodiversity among EYPs, a great thing in itself, practically supporting VYPs with traits such as autism or ADHD, is still a big issue.
What should I do, actually do, in the moment, in the classroom to help?
